Agreement

These terms govern your use of Namerly (the “app”) and the website at namerly.club, both operated by Koode (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Namerly, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

Who can use Namerly

You must be at least 16 years old. You may use Namerly for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

Your account

• You sign in with email + magic link or passkey. You’re responsible for keeping access to your email account secure.
• One person, one account. Don’t share accounts.
• If you suspect unauthorized access, email support@namerly.club.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the app or our infrastructure beyond what’s permitted by law.
• Use Namerly to harass, abuse, or harm anyone — including a partner you’re paired with.
• Submit display names, partner labels, or other content that is illegal, hateful, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without our written permission.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Intellectual property

Namerly’s app, website, brand, and code are owned by Koode and protected by copyright and trademark law. The names dataset is derived from public-domain government sources, with origin and meaning text generated and edited by us.

Your verdicts (love / pass / favorite / hard-pass) are yours — we make no claim on them and do not use them to train AI models.

Subscriptions and pricing

Namerly is currently free. If we introduce paid features in the future, subscription terms (price, billing cycle, cancellation) will be presented clearly before you opt in. Existing free functionality on the day you signed up will not be retroactively removed without notice.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, network issues, or third-party outages (Apple, Cloudflare) may cause downtime. Namerly is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent allowed by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Koode is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of Namerly. Our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in that period, or (b) €100.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including mandatory consumer rights under Dutch and EU law).

Termination

• You can delete your account at any time from inside the app or by emailing support@namerly.club.
• We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to other users or our infrastructure.
• On termination, your data is deleted per the Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using Namerly after changes take effect, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to your local court.
