Your shortlist

How it works

Three steps. Then you’re swiping.

  1. 01

    Tell us your taste

Pick the regions, eras, and gender you want to draw from. Two minutes, then you're swiping.

  2. 02

    Invite your partner

Send a link. They install, tap once, and you're paired. No accounts to remember, no passwords.

  3. 03

    Swipe in private

Each of you swipes alone. Your partner only sees a name when you both said yes.

Why Namerly

Built for the conversation, not the catalogue.

Questions

The fine print, in plain English.

Is Namerly free?
The core swiping experience is free. We may add a premium tier later, but the day-one promise is that two people can name a baby together without paying.
Does my partner see what I rejected?
No. Your partner only ever sees a name once you've both said yes. Hard-pass and pass are completely private.
What if we change our minds?
You can undo your last swipe, and matches can be unmatched anytime. Names move freely between your love list, favorites, and pass piles.
Where do the names come from?
Public-domain government baby-name datasets across multiple countries, enriched with origin and meaning. The dataset grows as we add regions.
Is it on Android?
iOS first. Android is on the list, just behind making the iOS version genuinely good.
Can I use it without a partner?
Yes. Solo swiping works fine — your love list and favorites are still yours. Pairing is optional.

Stop arguing in spreadsheets. Start matching.
